Surfing Barrels in Bali. 3 Videos from an Epic Indo Trip.

Video of my 1st (of many more) trips to Bali. Shot this video renting a scooter, putting my board on it and driving threw the famous downtown Poppies Lade 2 party district on route to Kuta Beach for a surf. (I shot another video like this of Boracay Beach in Philippines that has about 50,000 views, so thought I would do)

My beach side bungalow view of Bingin Surf break in Bali. Awesome view, great surf, super chilled out spot.

"I don't always wear so-ranges...but when I do, I rock them in Balinese Jungles" says the tallest & most interesting man in Asia ;)

Since shooting this I have been back to Bali 6 months agian later. I am hooked, when people ask what country out of the 35 plus I have been too, I always smile and say "Bali is the best" (for a surf addict like me that is).

MY BDAY BOAT PARTY @ BUSAN SOUTH KOREA

rented out this yacht for my bday with some friends here in South Korea, Busan, Asia's best kept secret city. Super fun. Now I fly to Bali for a couple weeks to cross another country off the list, #33 for my 33rd bday. Gotta hit 50 countries by 50 y/o, that's the next goal.

Boracay Island in The Philippines

This video I shot Boracay Island in The Philippines, Asia's famous White Sand Beach has over 80,000 views since I posted it!

It was interesting the local sailor who spoke to me and shared an interesting perspective how this is a "3rd" world country.

May - June 2012 In Philippines, Manila, Boracay & Cebu. This is after my flight from S. Korea to Manila, staying up all night in Manila to catch my 5am flight to Boracay... met this taxi driver that drove me around the island to my beach bungalow at Isla Kiteboarding were I stayed for 8 days. Its a great island,

My 1st Japan Trip :)

Its crazy the flight from Korea to Japan was shorter than the time it took to get from the airport in Tokyo to downtown. This city is HUGE!

Imperial Palace Temple in Japan.

View from the 46th floor at the place I was staying downtown Tokyo, amazing view.

Welcome to TOKYO!

Welcome to the busiest street crossing in the WORLD! Shibuya statoin in the heart of downtown Tokyo. Enjoy the madness...

Teaching ESL in Asia.

I came to Asia with an intention to stay for only 6 months, now its been almost 4 years.

What can I say, I love living here.

Busan, the 2nd largest city in South Korea is an amazing city, its the same as Vancouver BC where I am from but a fraction of the cost of living with a lot more benefits.

The 2nd tjhing that has kept me here is my job as a university English Professor. It is a great gig, full time pay, part time hours and tons of vacation time. Many other expats I have met here also find it hard to leave a cushy lifestyle that this contract offers.

However most teachers here are working at Hakwons, teaching kids and these are tough jobs but thats were most ESL teachers have to start. I did my one year of hell and really greatful to have moved on to a uni position now as teaching college students is much more rewarding as you can see the difference.

Traveler VS Tourist...Which one are you?

There is a BIG difference between being a traveler, or a tourist.

I explain the difference in this video durring a road trip on a bus trip in Korea.
