My TED TALK Speaking Video.

A Dream Came True...

I have always wanted to be a speaker at TED TALK, & the fact I was selected & invited to be on that epic stage as one of the speakers sharing my message, it was a HUGE highlight of my life & career.

I was honored & humbled to cross that goal off my Bucketlist.

My topic was Travel, Culture & World Peace.

Riding high on adrenaline on the famous Red Carpet Circle...

To be honest I was super nervous, here is the rehearsal video footage as I prepared prior to the event

The best part was after the event the producer invited me back for their next event as a keynote speaker so I will have a longer time slot :)

30 min Interview on Busan EFM 90.5

My first time on LIVE radio.

Was a super cool experience. (I come in aronnd the 5 min mark)

I spoke about my TED Talk speech, also how I traveled to over 30 countries and some of my crazy travel experiences, also what its like living as an expat in Korea and how Vancouver and Busan are very similar.

It went so well I am meeting with the radio station producers to pitch an idea to start my own radio talk show at their station that I can also promote as a podcast and create more content for my You Tube channel so I can get invited back to speak at more conferences like I did at TED Talk.

Surfing Barrels in Bali. 3 Videos from an Epic Indo Trip.

Video of my 1st (of many more) trips to Bali. Shot this video renting a scooter, putting my board on it and driving threw the famous downtown Poppies Lade 2 party district on route to Kuta Beach for a surf. (I shot another video like this of Boracay Beach in Philippines that has about 50,000 views, so thought I would do)

Video 2
My beach side bungalow view of Bingin Surf break in Bali. Awesome view, great surf, super chilled out spot.

Video 3
"I don't always wear so-ranges...but when I do, I rock them in Balinese Jungles" says the tallest & most interesting man in Asia ;)

Since shooting this I have been back to Bali 6 months agian later. I am hooked, when people ask what country out of the 35 plus I have been too, I always smile and say "Bali is the best" (for a surf addict like me that is).

MY BDAY BOAT PARTY @ BUSAN SOUTH KOREA

rented out this yacht for my bday with some friends here in South Korea, Busan, Asia's best kept secret city. Super fun. Now I fly to Bali for a couple weeks to cross another country off the list, #33 for my 33rd bday. Gotta hit 50 countries by 50 y/o, that's the next goal.

Boracay Island in The Philippines

This video I shot Boracay Island in The Philippines, Asia's famous White Sand Beach has over 80,000 views since I posted it!

It was interesting the local sailor who spoke to me and shared an interesting perspective how this is a "3rd" world country.

May - June 2012 In Philippines, Manila, Boracay & Cebu. This is after my flight from S. Korea to Manila, staying up all night in Manila to catch my 5am flight to Boracay... met this taxi driver that drove me around the island to my beach bungalow at Isla Kiteboarding were I stayed for 8 days. Its a great island,

My 1st Japan Trip :)

Its crazy the flight from Korea to Japan was shorter than the time it took to get from the airport in Tokyo to downtown. This city is HUGE!

Imperial Palace Temple in Japan.

View from the 46th floor at the place I was staying downtown Tokyo, amazing view.

Welcome to TOKYO!

Welcome to the busiest street crossing in the WORLD! Shibuya statoin in the heart of downtown Tokyo. Enjoy the madness...

Teaching ESL in Asia.

I came to Asia with an intention to stay for only 6 months, now its been almost 4 years.

What can I say, I love living here.

Busan, the 2nd largest city in South Korea is an amazing city, its the same as Vancouver BC where I am from but a fraction of the cost of living with a lot more benefits.

The 2nd tjhing that has kept me here is my job as a university English Professor. It is a great gig, full time pay, part time hours and tons of vacation time. Many other expats I have met here also find it hard to leave a cushy lifestyle that this contract offers.

However most teachers here are working at Hakwons, teaching kids and these are tough jobs but thats were most ESL teachers have to start. I did my one year of hell and really greatful to have moved on to a uni position now as teaching college students is much more rewarding as you can see the difference.

Traveler VS Tourist...Which one are you?

There is a BIG difference between being a traveler, or a tourist.

I explain the difference in this video durring a road trip on a bus trip in Korea.

Judging a Miss Valentines Beauty Contest #Winning ;)

Ever have one of those moments were you looked around and are like "where am I & what the hell am I dong here?" That pretty much summed up my first week living in Asia as I wrapped it up spending my most random Valentines day judging & selecting Miss Valentines Day...

To even make it weirder (if you can) I didn't sleep the night before and was so out of it...the whole experience was rather hilarious...but I have to admit, Korean Asian women in Seoul are the most beautiful out of any of the other 30 countries I have been to so far...in my humble opinion. Just another day in the life as a world traveler ;-)

First time to Busan = Love @ 1st sight

After being in Seoul for 3 months, I visited Busan, which turned out to be the "Vancouver of Asia" (and as I am posting this video on my blog I have liver here for 3 years and absolutely LOVE IT).

Its the best unknown city n the world.

"Lost in Translation" a re cap of my 1st week after being unleashed in Asia

Panoriamic View of a 24 Million Person City. Insane.

Took a tour to top of Seoul to do some 'Soul Searching' ;)
The best view is the next video when it is after dark with the city lights of this 24 MILLION person city...

This city looks like a Neon Solar System when the sun sets.
Amazing view! Enjoy the view...

My 1st night in "The Seoul of Asia" Soju & Korean BBQ in Hongdea

This was the beginning of a wild night

My 1 in a MILLION OFF THE WALL SWISH SHOT

you probably won't believe this but it was my first attempt to try this. I volunteer coach the King George Hight School Basketball Team in Vancouver and this was at our last practice. The kids LOVED IT :)

Coastal Ocean Train Trip from Orange Country to San Diego

the most relaxing travel experience I have ever had...(and after visiting 30 countries, that says a lot).

FLYING INTO CHINA BEIJING ... ASIAN ADVENTURE BEGINS :)

My Travel Video Documentary Blog in Asia.
Shot this video in 2010 in my apt in Vancouver before I leave on my my Asian Adventure that officially begins in a couple days with no end date in place with a one way ticket to the orient.
Here are my final thoughts before my departure.
